The Rep Announces Local Auditions for 17-18 Season

AUDITION UPDATE: All appointments have been filled for the Monday, March 20th open audition call for our 2017-18 Season. We will be starting a waiting list for those who are still interested in auditioning. (Little Rock, Ark.) –  Arkansas Repertory Theatre announces auditions for its 2017-2018 season.  Auditions will be held on the evening of Monday, March 20 at The Rep’s Education Annex located at 518 Main St. in downtown Little Rock.  Seeking union and non-union actors, over the age of 18, for the following productions:

The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Rebecca Gilman
First Rehearsal – August 1, 2017
Opening – August 25, 2017
Closing – September 10, 2017

The School For Lies by David Ives
First Rehearsal – September 19, 2017

The Gift Of the Magi, a new musical. Book by Jeffrey Hatcher, Music by Andrew Cooke and Lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman

Actors can prepare either 2 very brief monologues, or 2 very brief songs, OR a very brief monologue and a very brief song.  All material should be memorized, and all sheet music should be in the appropriate key.  Actors will also be required to bring a headshot and resume.  Additional auditions and callbacks may be held on a show by show basis throughout the season.  For more information on the season, please visit:

Founded in 1976, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre is the state’s largest non-profit professional theatre company.  A member of the League of Resident Theatres,  The Rep has produced more than 350 productions including 40 world premieres in its 377-seat theatre  located in its historic building in downtown Little Rock.
