The Rep Opens Doors for Inaugural Open House

June 06, 2016
(Little Rock, Ark.) – For the first time ever, Arkansas Repertory Theatre invites the public to an Open House where guests can get a glimpse behind the scenes of Arkansas’ largest regional theatre. Theatre staff will lead guests on guided tours through spaces rarely opened to the public – rehearsal spaces, dressing rooms, costume and props shops, and more. This event will also serve as a celebration of Producing Artistic Director Bob Hupp’s career and the public’s opportunity to wish him well before he departs for Syracuse Stage at the end of June. The event is scheduled for 4-6 p.m.  Monday, June 20. Admission is free and open to the public. No reservation required.

Guests will be able to visit the set of the world premiere production of Windfall and see where actors rehearse the productions produced on the MainStage each season. While in each space, they will be able to meet the talented creative team members who work tirelessly offstage to make things happen onstage—from lighting a performance and designing sound to designing and creating costumes and props, plus more.

Special entertainment will be provided in the Lobby by local musician Ben Brenner. Loblolly Creamery’s food truck will be parked on Main Street and they will be selling their locally made ice cream.
